Loaves & Fishes
Food Pantry
Our Mission
The mission of the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry at the Paupack Church is to increase food and nutrition security throughout the local communities and help create an equitable and sustainable local food system by:
• Connecting individuals and families in need to healthy,
high-quality food and resources;
• Collaborating with community partners to deepen outreach
and address food needs;
• Convening key players in the community to assess progress
and plan collective actions.

Our Vision
Pike and Wayne Counties are a thriving community where everyone deserves the resources they need to experience health, prosperity, and a high quality of life.
Our History
For nearly 30 years, the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry has elevated the common good for the people and communities of Pike and Wayne Counties by fighting food insecurity. Founded by Betty Tschop back in the nineties, the pantry has grown to an organizational network of staff, volunteers and local partner organizations. Together, we coordinate the storage and distribution of food from a network of growers, manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and grocery stores, while simultaneously cultivating new sources of food.
